This post is a LONG time coming – not just in how long it took for me to finally get to Made By Marcus – but also in how long between getting there and posting this has taken!
I had tried to get down to the Made By Marcus store on 17th Avenue for a while… but then I got derailed, or put off by long lines. Finally I got there with my friend Skye (from Dyeing For It) and tried the much raved about ice cream after dinner.
Skye got the Whiskey Hazelnut Praline ice cream (I think) topped off with a toasted marshmallow, while I selected the lemon curd blueberry flavour. In all honesty, it might have been because we’d just had a great dinner (at Aida’s Bistro, which I’ll blog about soon) and I wasn’t super hungry… but I wasn’t over-the-moon about my ice cream. It was tasty and all, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to go to Made By Marcus when Village Ice Cream, Fiasco Gelato, or other options might be available. (Albeit not super close.)
